Roshni, a slut or a free spirited woman?

Roshni is a small town girl who has lost her mother at a very early age of 6. Her father, Manoj looked after her trying to compensate her loss. She was his pampered princess. Being a clerk himself, he always wanted to give her all the riches and happiness in the world. Though economically poor, he had tried his best at giving her, whatever possible. They were a happy family of two.
She grew up reciting the Bollywood dialogues. Her father often said that her mother was a Bollywood fan. Hence this craze was genetic.
She was 20 when she had made up her mind to get into acting. She imitated the Bollywood stars, recited their dialogues and also dressed like them. Her father often supported her.
The crew of the upcoming movie, “Pyaar ki jeet” was supposed to come to her town for their climax shooting. She requested her father to let her go and watch the shooting. He had happily permitted her.
The manager Sanjeev who noticed her watching the shooting almost for the entire month identified her craze for acting. He offers her a chance to give the auditions for the next movie of the same banner. She too had seen him looking at her. He was a not so tall but a good looking man in his late 20s.
She agreed for the audition. The process made her feel very clumsy as well as excited. As she was waiting for just one chance to show case her talent in front of the camera. Luckily, out of 24 she got selected.  Her father and Sanjeev was of great help to her and formed her support system. She was slowly starting to experience her dream world. She got to know that this field is not as fancy as it seems. Sanjeev was always with her, guiding her about the career choices etc.
He took great care of her and made sure she signed the right contracts and worked with good people only. They shared a good bonding with each other.
One evening, while sipping hot coffee, on a chilled evening in Delhi, Sanjeev proposed to her. It was an absolute “Yes.”
Moving in together seemed like the best option in order to spend more time with each other. Her father back in her town got to hear a lot of gossips about the two living together before the marriage. The neighbours talked ill about his daughter. Yet he supported her as he liked Sanjeev and he was a man who believed in his daughter’s happiness.
Her career took a downfall due to her ill health and Sumit enters her life like the breath of fresh air. She sets up her career being the most understanding P.R. He rebuilds her image and mostly supports her psychologically. Meanwhile she gets separated from Sanjeev during the downfall of her career as she somehow blames him for her lack of concentration on her career, though he has always being there for her. “You have got me very distracted from my work Sanjeev!” she had screamed her lungs out with depression.
Sumit and Roshni liked spending time with each other. He was very well made aware of her past with Sanjeev. She confessed to him that she felt guilty about it and yet cannot move back to him. Sumit accepted her whole heartedly. He kept persuading her to forget her past and move on with him. He was someone who often told his friends to stay away from women as he believed that women is a cause of destruction and now he himself was into luring a woman who didn’t like him as much as he liked her. They dreamt of the life together.
Prajwal was her co – actor. They were having a day out just to relax from their busy schedules. It was the end of the shoot and Prajwal had invited her home just to celebrate their first movie together. He talked about his best moments with her. He had always being the best co – actor cum best friend to her. He had chased away that crazy fan who had tried to touch her. He had made him beg for forgiveness. He had being with her as a very good friend. She treated him more like her bodyguard at the sets. “What are men for? To provide safety to women.” She laughed.
Sumit didn’t like the kind of closeness they shared. He did mind that on the last day she had visited prajwal’s home for the celebrations. The fight broke between them. Unfortunately the heated argument led to Sumit calling her a bitch who used men for her advantage.
Prajwal caught her hand, got down on his knees and in the filmy way said, “I love you.”
She liked him too but she liked Sumit and deep down also felt guilty for being mean to Sanjeev. He often texted her asking to get back and tried to meet her too.
A couple of days later, Sumit apologized  her and admitted that he felt jealous and confessed his love for her.
She made it clear to all the three that she has more inclination towards Sanjeev as she had brought her to this position today. He had picked her up from the rags to the riches and that she was being very mean to him.
She also admitted that Sumit and Prajwal also meant a lot to her. She liked them too. She liked them Way beyond just friends.
The society, the media, her fellow town people made a great gossip out of this matter.  If the man hangs around with multiple partners, he is considered as cool what if the situations put the women into the similar situation? She gets tagged as a slut.
She married Sanjeev as he was her first love but broke no relation with Sumit and Prajwal as they also meant a lot to her. Their relationship was way beyond the society’s mentality. Love need not be lust. It’s a feeling of understanding. The ease which one has while being with the other person.
Two years later,
Sanjeev and Roshni are the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. Sumit and Prajwal, the best friends of the couple, knock at the door and she opens the door to find them with toys and balloons, welcoming the baby girl in the family…..
